SPARK Jackson County has developed a suite of programs to spark new innovation, fuel existing businesses, connect people and resources, and provide essential business education. These programs are designed to increase the success rates of our local entrepreneurs and innovators.

“SPARK Tank” is a community pitch competition designed to draw entrepreneurs out of the woodwork, providing resources and coaching for idea development, and working capital for selected ideas. Last year we awarded $20,000 to 3 finalists!
SPARK Challenge is a competition that drives innovation within local businesses through industry-specific challenges. Teams of participants, guided by coaches, tackle real-world problems, developing solutions through market analysis, technical processes, and comprehensive business cases.
SPARK Amigos, is a Latino focused program that identifies and empowers experienced and successful Latino business leaders to provide mentorship, guidance, and strategic insights to support the development and growth of emerging Latino startups or innovative projects.

The Flywheel Fund of Jackson County is a local venture fund dedicated to providing startup capital to local entrepreneurs. This fund supports innovative ideas, enhances the business community, and offers mentorship and networking opportunities. Additionally, it transforms local investors into experienced angels, ensuring sustainable investment opportunities for Jackson County
SPARK School is a program focused on junior high students, teaching business operations through hands-on experience. Students will receive mentorship from entrepreneurs and will feed into the Maverick Challenge competition.
SPARK Club is an informal gathering of local entrepreneurs to share ideas and feedback on startups. These meetups foster connections and learning among like-minded individuals, strengthening the entrepreneurial community in Jackson County.
